Right so I went to see a Punto (2007, 1.4 active sport, 81k miles) (the guys a trader) and when we got there the car he said itd not be started in ages and the battery was completely flat and might need a new one, fair enough, it happens. Anyway he said he jumped it and it started but the check engine light came on (it also
I appear to have an earth fault on the dash of my 2016 Fiat Ducato. With the ignition on and engine running ( drivers seatbelt unclipped), the TPMS & front fog warning lights are on at probably 30% illumination of the seatbelt warning light. When i clip the seatbelt in, all lights extinguish. I dont have TPMS or front fogs fitted.

The light will go out after a few minutes of running, or after 4 engine start/stops, providing it is a "soft code". This would be for a minor glitch in the system but not anything that will affect the

You may well find that if the original fault is cleared, that the engine management light will go out after a certain number of starts (5-10). The original fault code stays logged in the ECU, though. If it's a bit more serious the engine management will restrict power as well. So it's OK to still drive it, the light doesn't mean "call the recovery truck" or "your engine has just blown up" ! If the CEL shows, there will be one or more fault codes logged which a Fiat dealer can read via the Onboard Diagnostics (OBD) connector.
JTII’s photo exactly matches what the oil-level gauge readout would look like on a Euro 4 Ducato with a digital display. The relevant Fiat Handbook says "ENGINE OIL LEVEL GAUGE (for versions/markets where provided) The gauge provides a graphic indication of the level of oil in the engine. Versions with digital display

As I'm sure everyone knows, when you first turn on the ignition there are 5 circles at the top of the instrument panel which indicate oil level. Bearing in mind we have a new van, ours is usually on 1 or 2, occasionally 3 and once on 4. I understand it depends on how level the motorhome is and how long the engine has been stopped.

Hi all First time here, I have a Fiat Ducato based motorhome model 2.8 diesel engine and when I turn the lights on to dipped beam the engine cuts out also the hazard warning lights also cuts the engine, when I turn on the heater blowers the temp and fuel gauges act in a erratic manner and the clock goes back to zero. The Launch VIII kit is available here http://www.diagnostic-world.com/pages/alfa_romeo_code_readers__diagnostic_scan_reset_amp_tools_189147.cfm
SOURCE: engine management light. When you bring it to the garage, they should provide you with the code, or codes that would tell you what the issue is. The code probably referred to something with the O2 sensor system, so that's why they changed the sensor, but a lot of other issues with the system can generate the same code.
