With the symbol and the Instant Crush cover im guessing they're fans of the strokes :D. They actually said in an AMA a while back that The Strokes are one of their favorite bands to see live. I definitely fangirled a bit when they said it! Isn't this album acoustic covers of there songs, or are they making new songs.

The first half of Social Cues sees Cage the Elephant continue their ways of casually ripping o- I mean paying homage to their influences. Like any cover band, part of your brain is telling you that they're playing one (potential) hit after the other, but the other part of your brain is telling you that they're not supposed to sound exactly the way you're hearing them.
Back when it came out I was like 7-8 and he got the poster I always found the image very striking. The almost intestinal piping of the skull, the blotched colors and the name “Cage the Elephant” but then I didn’t listen to the album for like 10-11 years. But once I did the sound of the album finally brought sense to the cover art.
