I collected every assassin's seal for Altair's armor, however one of the statues doesn't have the seal in it, even though I already put it in a while ago. It just appears as if I never touched it, and I would have thought I simply forgot the seal, if not for the fact that I can't even examine it.

The colour you already have makes no difference, because Altair's armour completely replaces not only your armour, but your robes as well.
